Yahoo Local and Bing Maps - are they combining too?

We know about Bing providing the results to Yahoo for searches now, and the advertising platforms being consolidated to Microsoft adcenter in progress now.

But I haven't heard anything about Yahoo Local and Bing Maps. Is there a plan to combine those? Or will they stay separate?

Bing Maps continues to be very slow sending verification letters for their listings, and some updates I've added to Yahoo Local have been stalled now too.

In my opinion the search alliance will only include the organic search and the advertising platform. The rest will stay separate. Here's a little overview (http://www.searchalliance.com/overview).

Could be a sensible approach. Bing is about to take over Multimap in the UK. This will provide serious competition for Google maps.

Multimap belongs to Microsoft since 2007 and was this year merged into Bing Maps.
