Does anyone have a system for finding blogs that have the recent comments feature enabled?
Or even better a list?
How much value do these links hold as they are pushed off the page? I see a few sites where the links still hold value months after the comment has been removed.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "still hold value" - thanks!@

What would I search for in order to find blogs that have the recent comments widget?

I mean that I noticed that when you are on the recent comments widget on the sidebar of a blog that gets indexed while your link is there you will receive a link from every page of the blog. Are these liunks valuable? I used Yahoo site explorer and noticed that all the links remain there months after the recent comment has been removed from the site

Comments are considered pages and indexed by search engines. Don't know about links in comments widget value wise. Are search engines looking at the recent comments widget? Or are they looking at pages? I don't really know....

As long as the comments page is attached to the main URL and you're able to have an active link established, you should be okay.

Any recent comments widget that wordpress uses. Any I am not SPAMing I am just getting more exposre and links for one comment. All my comments are directly related to the subject and are not"i agree with...." or "your blog is great!" but rather relevant, informative responses.

You need to know the path for every plugin - but using this will give you an idea how to go about it for any site that hasn't secured their backend properly

backlinks from comment really dont matter that much....and 100 links from the same site (comment links) are usually one counted as one by Google/YAhoo
So I would not put too much into this...since your comment will get pushed off the most recent comment list in a matter of hours/days
