Hi All,
Just checked last weeks top sellers list at DN Journal http://www.dnjournal.com/domainsales.htm
Commerce.com sold for $180,000
FixMyDrains.com #9 on the list sold for $8,979
(Who would have thought this 3 word name would go for that much?)
This page IMHO is very valuable in helping us all determine the potential value of our names.
See what has sold and get an idea for what buyers are looking for.
Last week several typo domains were sold. Watch the trends here. The only thing I don't know but want to try to research is if some of these got high prices, not just due to the name, but because they maybe also had traffic and revenue???

I used to have domain :100best.com (domain record sales) in the past (sold for $30 000)
I was a domain broker and sell my domains on Ebay, Greatdomains.com or afternic. I had many prestigious domains that I ve register for $7.00 and sold for hundreds to thousands dollars (I don't get 100% of the money since escrow fees are high). But this business was 2 years ago. After that (2002-2003) domains value went down (I quit working as a domain broker), but now it looks like it's comming back (People are willing to buy great domains)it depends on demands and rare good domains since all one word domains are registred, and now great 2 words domains are getting more and more rare. Tld .com will always be a great value.

Anyone got a good sports directory or search related domain for sale along the lines of sportsearch.com?

Dan,
I'm afraid not many will see your request buried in this thread. Go ahead and start a new thread saying sports search domain wanted.

In fact I just listed it on SEDO, I don't think I really need an appraisal as I think the name speaks for itself.
ehighroller.com
I listed it as "make an offer" as I think anyone with a online casino will be interested in this one.
What are your thoughts?

Are there any rules for registering domains made of someones name? www.kobebryant.com? etc...
(This is just an example...)

Yes there are rules and I think you usually can get a cease and desist. Sometimes if you build a fan site you may be OK but if you are holding it to just sell you typically can be in trouble, from what I have heard.
