Hello all

I'd like to introduce you to a new program we have developed at http://www.allfeeds.com

Its called Google Backfill.

It gives you an alternate url for your google adsense account which will replace the public service ads displayed on your website with targeted advertisements that look exactly the same as google!

It auto detects your colors and styles and automatically displays the exact same way google does.

All you have to do is select a few keywords that are revelant to your site, and it will display targeted advertisements in place of the public service ads automatically!

Its quick easy and free so get started today!

Thanks

This is an intersting idea, so I signed-up and tried it...

It took no more than a day for my site to be approved for participation, and it was very easy to implement the changes needed on my site for the system.

The Google Backfill concept does work, but not as well as I had hoped.

The ads that it shows seem fine, they are selected based on a set of keywords that I supplied via their control panel. Although the system does a good job of capturing your Google AdSense preferences, like background colors, it doesn't handle fonts in the same way as AdSense, so I wind up with a different font than the AdSense text and my content uses. I wrote to support about this but haven't gotten an answer yet.

My other complaint is that sometimes there is a problem where the backfill ads are not displayed at all, so I'm left with a big blank spot on my pages that doesn't even have the correct background color.

Due to these problems, and the fact that Google rarely displays PSAs on my site I think that I'm going to stop using the AllFeed service for now. If I hear that they have worked out the font and failure to display backfill bugs, I think that I would consider trying this service again.

Thinking about this service, and the the niche the backfill service is targeting, leads me to the conclusion that Google needs an option for AdSense to display ads that generally fit the theme of the site, instead of the PSAs, when they have not yet sent the Google MediaBot to read a specific new page. I know that AdSense already does this in some cases, and that it wouldn't work well for all sites, but an option that forced this could be very useful, although that probably wouldn't be good news for AllFeeds with respect to their backfill service.

AllFeeds does provide some other options besides the backfill, so this service may still be of interest even if you don't need that.
