Hi everyone,

I know this has been done before elsewhere but that was a while ago and the market is changing !

Please vote based on what you think might be the next most popular domain name extension (after the obvious leader .COM)..

Hi kikkertm,

Thanks for posting a poll! I voted for .net because it's the 2nd most well established in people's minds I think.
I do feel the .TV could be big in certain markets eventually too but not for awhile.
(Especially with the current cost of registration!)

What do we think about the up and coming .info ? If you look at some recent sales, it seem to be quite booming:

NewYork.info - $28,000
HMS.info - $20,000

Yihaa !

I believe that .US could actually approach .COM popularity at some point.

For me it is the .ca Canadian doman right after .com then comes .net

I went with .org. Runner up .net, then in third...one not on the list .co.uk (I would imagine that if I were in the UK though...then .co.uk would be my choice...hehehe).

I would take .edu, then .gov over .ca

I agree with Ravenhawk.

In Canada anyway... if .com is taken, or even if it's not... dot-ca is snapped up
330,000 dot-ca domain names can't be wrong (March 2003)

dot-net comes right after, IMO

According to Denic.de the order of the Top 10 TLDs as of March 2004 are here (http://www.denic.de/en/domains/statistiken/domainvergleich_tlds/index.html).

I got the .net, .org, .uk in the wrong order. =(doh). But check out the number two ... now that is amazing. Germany (.de) is one of the fastest growing TLD's (http://www.denic.de/en/domains/statistiken/domainentwicklung/index.html)it appears. But has tapered off in the last few months. The entire RIPE Hostcount has jumped (http://www.denic.de/en/domains/statistiken/hostentwicklung/hostcount.html) overall pretty significantly.
