"Terra Networks has reportedly asked an investment bank to arrange the sale of Lycos.com. The asking price is said to be $200 million, 98 percent less than the $12.5 billion value of the merger with Lycos in 2000. They'll take cash or stock, the report said."

I think you've got an error in the link man; the article on the page given is about: "Lycos HotBot Offers Free DeskTop Toolbar"; anyway lets just hope that Google buys it !! Having worked for Lycos Europe a few years ago I am quite interested at the subject and would like to know whether its the international business which is for sale or just the US business, because from what I can remember Lycos Europe and Lycos.com are owned and managed by two different companies.
