I was asked from a friend to do a search for the domain http://www.pinnacleteleservices.com/ http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=pinnacleteleservices.com&btnG=Search&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=

Just click on the title of the site ranked nr. 1 and then click on the cache link.

Once you done that can you explain what is happening. They are two different web site and they are not related to each other.

Thanks,

John

At first I thought, could this be a cloaked site?It doesn't really look like that ... or make a lot of sense ...

I believe they are using a 301 trick to hijack the PR from the other site.

I wrote about it here because I wanted to expose the scammers who do PR hijacking to get links.

However I think the Pinnacle sites may be the same company so maybe it's a weird attempt to prepare for a URL change? Or maybe they aren't related and thought it would be best to hijack the PR from a site that has a similar name.

I've noticed that even the site links also go to a 3rd domain...but that's probably just a redirect...

Yep, looks like a classic case of some clever coder stealing the thunder of someones efforts. I hope that Google can rectify this for the real website.. "will the real website stand up please" .. :)

Good luck to them!

Yes, it looks like DNS poisoning, please check with DNS record, also note that your site ip is listed in 3 blacklisted DNS servers... you can find more info on robotex
Do you have an account with Google Webmasters ? If yes then send them a request to look in to matter...

That has happened to a few sites I have had the pleasure to assist to rectify. In all but one case, it was hijacking. In the odd ball case, it was a matter of some sort of google "burp". The cached domain was nothing near the site, it was not anywhere near the same ip block, and it had zero dupe content or similar content.
A note through webmaster tools and fidgeting with the crawl rate to get G to come back fixed the issue in all cases within a couple days.

Could it simply be that there was a 301 in place the day the cache was taken and has since been removed?

It is hijacking and I reported to Google already yesterday.
