Default Where can I find a guide to making a forum?

Hi all,

I'm sure building a forum is easy to many people, but I hold my hand up - I just haven't got a clue.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a guide to building a forum, using PHP etc.

Many thanks in advance

Default PHP Forum resources

Hi Dave,

Judging by the sheer number of new forums springing up everywhere, you can see it must be fairly easy to do.. especially if you have the right hosting environment. Take a visit to http://www.phpbb.com/ this is the home of phpBB forum software (which this site is based around).

Other likely suspects include:
Invision Power Board
w-Agora
Phorum: PHP Message Board

NB: If you're looking for more information about building online communities, and how this might help your business, try looking at this UK site - Sift.

Hope that helps,

Paul

Default No problem

Not a problem Dave, post back here once you've decided which is the best choice for yourself. We've got lots of members here who have great experience with PHP forums.

Good luck,

Paul
