Urgent assistance with php please

Hi Everyone,

A good friend of mine purchased a site on eBay.

It is all written in php.

We don't know anything about php.

Can someone help please?

Immediate Problem:
Nobody can log in. This site has active members and nobody can log in right now.

Plus some other site glitches that we need fixing.

Can someone help with this site please?

It may take 5 minutes...it may take one hour.

Please help!

ummmm.... how can you buy a website without getting all the permissions? strange.
Have you tried to contact the seller?

If you can provide more info and maybe a link, I'm sure we can help a bit..

The original owners promised 100,000 hits which were never delivered.

In other words, they did a runner.

So, my friend purchased the site because it suited her at the time.

We have admin log ins and so forth, but the php is foreign to us and we need someone to help with the coding to get our pages correct.

Right now, our most urgent need it to reset the log-in page somehow so that members can log in.

We do not know what happened. We do not know how to fix it.

Someone help please?

It is hard to help you without more information... and I guess that is why nobody has responded. Is the code specially written for the site or is it using some standard script? If it is using a standard portal script (should say somewhere, for example in the bottom of every page) then I am sure there are FAQ's and forums to help you (ask alknowing google). Otherwise, I am sorry to say that you need to get a php knowledgebal person access to your server, your code and probably your database so that he/she can figure it out.
