Default CMS for Church Group (ASP)

Anyone know of a good active server pages CMS for a Church group? I have found this one:

http://www.toledomuslims.com/purchase.asp

It seems very powerful and it is basically what we are looking for. But the cost seems a bit high. How much does something like this cost? I haven't found too many ASP systems.

Thanks

Default asp?

I don't know squat about asp, but I know there are plenty of open source PHP CMS systems available. Two of the leaders being www.phpnuke.org and www.postnuke.com. There is also xoops, mambo, and a few more I have been hearing more and more about.

I imagine there are some free asp solutions out there that will be just as good (if not better) than their commercial counterparts.

Here is a link to hotscripts' asp software page (many are free):
http://www.hotscripts.com/ASP/Software/index.html

I just hate to see people pay for software when an open source package is available, especially a church. Maybe someone with more asp knowlege will be able to recommend something.

Default I found one...

I came across a .NET CMS through one of the newsletters I get. I saw them before and forgot it was in asp until I saw them today and thought of this thread.

http://www.dotnetnuke.com

I don't know anything about it except that it is free and that it runs on MS's .NET.

Again, hope this helps. Good luck.

Default You might check out relevantweb.com

You might check out www.relevantweb.com. They are a new company, currently in beta testing, that is offering content management for churches and other Christian ministries.

Hello,

The best place to find scripts is probably Hotscripts.com under the content management sections such as:

ASP:
http://www.hotscripts.com/ASP/Script...ent/index.html

ASP.net:
http://www.hotscripts.com/ASP.NET/Sc...ent/index.html

PHP:
http://www.hotscripts.com/PHP/Script...ent/index.html

If you need just a nice simple easy to use system, I'd say check out soholaunch pro @ soholaunch.com. However, it requires php and mysql but it does run on windows..

Hope this helps,
Chris

Via the CMS Matrix I found the following:

Along the left side of the screen are a list of one-hundred or so CMS including the ones above. Checkmark the ones above that are in this list and hit the Compare button. It will tell you eveything you need to know about them.
