Question Web debugging .NET SilverLight and Fiddler

1. Background

This is a follow up of this

phpbb forums are automatically logged out a second after logging in

thread where web debugging was discussed.

2. Web debugging.

There are a lot of debugging tools like FireBug (Lite for other browsers). HttpFox and Fiddler mentioned in that thread was new to me.

3. Fiddler .NET and SilverLight.

Generally I don't like to download software to solve a problem, but after having watched the Fiddler video I was convinced that it was an advanced tool, may be more advanced than FireBug. The last version of Fiddler requires Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 So I installed that version. When the installation was finished, I was asked to try the last Beta version. I hit Ok and a message box with the message:

"You have chosen to open SilverLight.2.0.exe"

popped up.

4. Question.

Is SilverLight the new .NET platform or how is it related to .NET?
