secure website and frames

I have an issue where my website links to another scure server to do the actual quoting and final purchase. I have no way of customizing any pages on the other server as it belongs to someone else.

What I did was to create a top frame, left frame (navigation) and then in the right body are (3rd frame) I redirected to the secure server.

Everything worked great and it looks like the other server is on my website (development server). The problem is when you go to purchase the secure lock never shows up in the browser (IE).

I am looking for some ideas on how to get the lock to show up in the browser so the client can see that it is a secure server they are one.

All three frames & your your "main" window have to be pulling from the same secure website to be able to show the secure icon.

How about I set up the SSL on my server and still direct to the other server in one of the frames. Will it show the lock?

It should not because it is not secure. You are pushing non-secure & secure information to the same window (browser)
