Post Applet ... or Flash ?

just asking which is better flash or applet ?
i've heared that applets r restricted from developing - is that true ?

That’s true and applets are now out dated, I would vouch for flash instead of applets.

Flash does have more of a chance of being spidered by the bots too I think..

Depends what you need to do?
If you need a banner with dynamic graphic I recommend you flash!
If you need an image uploader or a small program like that I recommend you the applet!

I've found that applets tend to be a bad idea if you're running them on a web server.

Java applets have come a long way due to the increases in speed that we've seen in PC's but Flash is now much more widely accepted, is easier to code and extremely flexible.

In addition, it takes longer to update the JVM than it does to update Flash and people are much more likely to allow a flash update.
