Default http: url parameters

hi all,

i'm writing a system that has to parse http requests. i have some http traces and i see urls such as:
/html.ng/s=mn&affiliate=msn&ch=main&ft=text&params.styles=m snmain&tile=4485794342

it seems that the url has parameters, but there is no question mark ('?') before they start.

is this a legal url?
thanks a lot!

Generally speaking, the ? should be after the last /, in the URL you showed. However, thanks to mod rewrite, it is not absolutely necessary to have the question mark. The url is "legal" because it would work if the server is set up to accept such queries. However, it is not standard.

That's because the first part of the URL, the 'index.php?' or whatever it is has been suppressed.

Or what wige said as he said it better and a few seconds before I did.
