Default Problem with ajax

Please help me to solve the following problems:

1.Problem in showing correct result while ajax call on keyup event from javascript most probably due to time problem.setTimeout() not working.

2.Cursor is not blinking in a textfield in mozilla. But one can enter text in that field.

Thanks
Susmita

Not sure I understand your point 1.

Point 2 is a problem I have observed too and would be interested in the answer.
