Default A website with mailing list features?

Hi

we are moderating some 18 groups on yahoogroups. we want to migrate this to on our own website. is there any solution in php/ my sql which will give all features of yahoogroups and has customisable look & feel.

regards,

You might check out www.forumcrafters.com, they might have a solution. But I actually doubt it. You are wanting to access Yahoo's information. You might just need to ask all your members to sign up @ your new website.

No, tht is not our motive. we have a site www.coolavenues.com. all members come and subscribe their and then we add that to yahoogroups. which is again a double opt in feature. However all the traffic happens at yahoogroups and we are loosing our 18 groups traffic to yahoogroups, so we wish to have a website with similiar feature like yahoogroups but with more control and our look & feel

You could try a cms (content management system) that incorporates sharing of images, bulletin boards etc. similar to yahoo. Some also allow different levels or groups with different access.. not sure if this is what you are looking for or not. One of my favorites is e-xoops

http://www.e-xoops.com

Php and mysql cms with lots of modules that can be added on as needed.

Also many other free ones.. php nuke etc.
