HELP: Need a AIM or MSN gateway - PHP -> AIM

i cant seem to find one

i need to be able to have my script (php, perl, asp or coldfusion - any) send a instant message.

The API they have seems overly complex, is there a gateway service i can saend an email to and have it convert to IM - or a webform, i dont care if its a paid or free service, i just cant seem to find it anywhere

anyone know where i can find it?

I have customers that want to be alerted immediately when projects are posted to bid on, they get an email now and they complain that by the time they get the email and try to buy the lead its sold out



and by the way - i dont need to open a conversation and connect - i just need to send a single line of text - my customers will add their screenname to our database then when a project matching their criteria is posted, it just needs to send them the IM message - I dont want to have to create this all from scratch, I really want to integrate into the existing IM technology of MSN messenger and/or AOL AIM

I'm not sure if you can - traditionally microsoft have been very cagey about allowing other software to access the msn network. How about sending an SMS to one of your clients?

If you do go down the SMS route I highly recommend Clickatell - cheap and very easy to send messages through.
