Default Sports Website

I'm not advanced with web-design, but I was thinking about starting a girls basketball website that will cover about 55 high schools, what would be the best way to set the website up?

I know there's a way to insert a score once on a "master" schedule and that it should update the score on the "schools" pages automatically, but I'm not familar with this either.

What I've done in the past is just type everything out by hand. It'd be nice if there was a way to insert the scores once and have things updated on several pages!

Any help is appreciated!

Put all the data on a database, MySQL for example and query the database using PHP or a similar language. You can easily write further PHP scripts so you can login and update information right on the web page without further programming.

If you've never done anything like that before, learn the necessary programming skills or contract someone to do it for you. If you need to do it on the cheap, then probably one of those high school girls could do it for you.

It's probably best to sit down with a professional in the industry to give you a more complete idea of what's required. There's a lot involved in putting together a site like this. Especially if you want to do it well. Even though you don't end up using the individual/company who you meet with at first, you'll find the info they give you invaluable.

Although i live in the UK (where basketball is dead), i love the sport and follow the nba quite closely. I hope it works out.

Good luck.
