Default Mysql Recommendations

Can anybody recommend a good mysql management program for windows, i am having problems exporting my database to upload onto the internet. Preferrably free software, but i will pay if it is a good package.

Cheers

Hello,

I have used the SQL version of this software, but there is a MySQL version as well:

SQL Manager | EMS SQL Manager for MySQL | Overview

They offer a free trial so that you can check it out before you buy. The SQL version did what I needed it to, hopefully the MySQL version works for you.

My weapon of choice is http://www.navicat.com/ they do a demo so you can try it.

One nice thing it does offer is it allows you to upload a small PHP file to your web space and then proxy your MySQL queries through it, this solves the issue where your don't have SSH or remote database access.

Hi there, I have used SQLYog ( MySQL Monitor and Advisor, MySQL Performance Tuning and Optimization, Open Source MySQL GUI Management Tools ) for many years now and its always been very good.

A big advantage is theres a free community edition and a more powerful paid for version.

If im not mistaken its become open source now so if your happy compiling things you could create your own enterprise version without paying!

It also has the feature to upload a php file to your webroot to route queries through if your webhost doesnt allow direct access to mysql.

Hope it helps

You can just go to the MySQL site and they have a complete suite of management tools available for free - http://mysql.com/products/tools/

They have a data migration tool, the server administrator, query browser (really cool for testing sql queries before you commit them) and the workbench.

I personally use the adminstrator and query browser almost daily and they work for what I need.

I use myPHPAdmin exclusively. It is web-based and easily exports and imports dumps.

My vote goes to navicat

I just started using it on my MAC. Works great and much easier then PHPadmin. My opinion though.
