!@^!%@ FTP Program file recovery

So I connect to a site which I have put alot of workl into and not updated in a while.

I edit the CSS file through my smartftp, when the connection breaks, and pook the file is no longer there.

After extensive searching I have no recent local backup of the CSS (all the pages yes of course)

Ideas on how to recover this?

I have tried cached places and wayback, to no avail.
Is there a local cached copy on my PC from the edit.

I had right clicked on the remote file, opened it in notepad and made a change, I then closed the file and selected yes to save.

Right at that moment the connection broker, and poof its gone.

In the temp internet files was a copy.
