Hi all,
Im playing around at developing a cms system and wondered if anyone else was interested in helping out. This would just be a personal project to learn more about CMS architectures an OOP php development. I have made quite a bit of it so far but im going to scrap it all and start from scratch. Im looking for people with a fairly decent level of php experience but I dont think this would be something that you gurus would be interested in being invloved in. At present I have the following parts of the system up and running: Templates: Simple templating system with custom tags. Pluings: Small pieces of hard coded tags that are replaced with custom functionality when the template is parsed. Components: Simmilar to plugins but the templates have place holders where components can be mapped to. Also the component classes have code for administering them via the CMS. Standard "Content Management" Component The component whos job it is to simply add/edit content. User and Group Privallages I have created the base classes for user and group privallages, but not created the admin yet. DataPools: User created data pools - Ive done little on this but I have many ideas. Im looking for people who are interested in understanding what I have done so far, sorting out whats good and whats junk and really having a good design document to begin with. I would prefer it if you were UK based or in a timezone close to GMT as I work 9-5 mon-fri and dont really want to be up till 4am waiting to discuss the project with you. I am looking for 2-3 people, if anyones contact me either by: 1) Replying here 2) Email: pubwa@hotmail.com 3) MSN messanger (after 6pm GMT mon-fri. and befor 7pm weekends) Please dont PM me i always forget to check my messages here. Thanks, Chris.
