Default What's the correct code for 'global.js'?

Hope someone can advise:-

I have a menu with rollovers controlled by:

<script src="global.js"></script>
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/JavaScript">

Offline the menu works fine, however online the rollovers slow right down.

Is the above code correct, or could something else cause the slowdown?

Reason is that online it would take longer for the images to show as they have to be loaded from the server. A lot depends on connection speeds. But you can help improve load speed by optimizing the images, i.e. reducing the rollover image file-size. And also pre-loading the images using JavaScript. Check out:
