Default Thousands of Outlook Newsletter e-mails - little help???

Hey everyone,

Long time, no visit to this forum! Glad to be back!

Anyways, I'm sure some of you will cringe at what I've been doing with my newsletter; basically, I get formmail submissions from one of my websites, and I receive the e-mails in Outlook. Outlook automatically sorts them, based on fields.

The problem is that now that I've accumulated thousands of these e-mails, and they are becoming difficult to manage when I actually need them for mailings. As well, Outlook seems to be automatically deleting some of the older submissions...or at least I think so.

My question is: does anyone know of a utility that could help me out? Many of my submissions are stored on CD's, in the form of Outlook e-mails. I need a program that will store these e-mails in a sensical manner, and will also, ideally, sort the new incoming submissions.

Advice would be appreciated!!!

Perhaps I'm being dense, but I'm not following exactly what you want to be doing. Can you explain your goal please?

Sure, my goal is simple: have a program that handles large volumes of e-mail, better than Outlook.

As I mentioned, Outlook deletes some of my older e-mails, and I think it's not meant to be used to store, for example, 20k worth of e-mails in a folder.

The problem is that all of my e-mails have been received by Outlook, and I need to import them into some sort of better program. This is where I need help.

Thanks!

Better than Outlook? There are many good email programs out there but you have a problem in that all these emails will be stored in your Outlook pst file so you may have to work out a way of finding all the emails you are interested in using the find feature and then doing something with the results.

As for the deleting - I expect they are being archived aren't they? I don't think Outlook will delete emails due to the number you have in a folder. Outlook can deal with some very large file sizes - I have had 1gb and 2gb pst files in the past and nothing gets deleted.

I think what you might be looking for is a custom add-on to outlook perhaps that can search for and act on requirements that you choose? Which means you need to talk to a programmer and see what they say.
