Default How do you link from a web to a pdf file?

I'm really stuck! You all seem so advanced that my inferior feelings come out! I simply want to link from my web site to an acrobat or pdf file so my customers can download a file from my site using Reader 7.0.

I've done everything except stand on my head to accomplish this! I know it's probably really easy, but it hasn't been for me. I would really appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks everyone!

Bev

Thank you both Joe and Keith!!! I'll try both of your suggestions. I just got back in so now is the time.

Again, thanks for your kind, quick replies.

Much success to you both,

Bev

I tried both ways you gave me and neither one worked. I'm using Frontpage, I know, most people boo when they hear that, but it's easy for me to use (or it has been.)

OR Instructions is the file name I'm trying to link with. "Instructions" is the word on the web site where I'm placing the link. Frontpage automatically puts in the click here

file name (pdf)

And

Instructions

I can't seem to get it right!!! Sorry to be such a ninny!

Help!

Thanks so much again!!!

Bev

Never leave a space in file names. In one of the examples in your last post you have shown the file name with a space and in 2 others with a underscore. Anyway make it "OR_Instructions" and then try again using FrontPage. If that also does not work then after you have saved the file, open it in Notepad. To do so right-click anywhere on the HTML document, but not on images, and choose 'View Source' from the menu. Then do a search for the text of the link and then copy and paste the code suggested in these posts and save the file in Notepad. Click the browser Refresh and see if it works.

Lastly, there is no need to be so apologetic. Cheerio and all the best!
