Default Search Bar for my website - Help Needed

I'm getting increasingly concerned that visitors to my site might be getting inundated by information, making it difficult for them to find exactly what they are looking for. As such I really need some advice on which type of website search toolbar I should use for my site. I see from another post that http://www.freefind.com might be a good free tool but I would like to know people's views on this compared to other products, including those that need to be paid for.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know about a search bar but I do think you need to clarify exactly what your company does on the front page a little more clearly.

Those four links / buttons are very small and it took me a while to realise that you were some kind of mortgage / financial advisor.

Quote:
From expert advice on property
in your area to a buy to let mortgage - we can help!
This seems to me to be the most important bit of text on the front page, but it's completely lost.

I hope this is helpful, good luck

Graf thanks for the useful observation! I am of a very similar opinion myself; unfortunately the MD is reluctant to change it! I will pass on your comments though as another persons perspective may be more likely to inspire a change
