Default PHP Testing Environment

Is there a way to test PHP and MySQL codes without installing Apache, PHP and MySQL server platform?

I was thinking an editor with Virtual PHP and Mysql? Is there such Editor?

Thanks in advance...

XAMPP require a lot of HDD space... especially MySQL.

I'm just looking for an editor that can run PHP codes and debug it... I have been using DreamWeaver... but you can't test the code.

anyone got a solution?

The simplest solution is to install PHP and MySQL.

I use WAMP5, which includes PHP and MySQL. It takes about 400Mb, of which 260Mb is my own data - so it must be about 140Mb on it's own.

MySQL appears to take about 40Mb.

(All figures very approximate)

If you don't want to install PHP and MySQL, you will have to upload your code to your server to test it. If you get an editor that allows you to test PHP and/or MySQL, then it will include PHP and/or MySQL, so won't save you any disk space.

Bite the bullet, delete some of those suspect pics <G> and install it.

Default Trying to install php on . .

I tried to install php on my WinXp "Home" box. On the "Home" Version of WinXp doesn't come with (nor will it allow the install of) PWS nor IIS.

All the install guides, for PHP, I've seen require IIS (some mention PWS).

Anyone have a work around for that?

True, and it won't eat up that much of space either. Totally PHP, Apache and MySQL installed separately will take up around 95 MB only. And you could install Apache and MySQL on any drive. For documentation go to:
http://in2.php.net/manual/kr/install.windows.php
