Retrieving text form a site for re-use

I often need to retrieve text from a site for re-use, either for overhaul or, more often, to add new language sections. Over the years I have developped a couple of procedures depending on the final use. For example in the second case, I must create a Word table for the translators. The translated text is then inserted into a database to rebuilt the new language section using php. This procedure is rather complicated and involves the use of three different programs. I was wondering if someone had the same problem and found a satisfactory solution.
