A games company wants me to figure out how to create a version of skelly that can be played online. I don't even know what programming language would be used for this.
Basically, the object of the game is to shoot "pucks" around the court in numbered order from 1 to 13 and back to 1 again. The first player to do this wins the game.
The online game needs to have collision detection and accurate calculations of direction, the speed of the pucks, even "friction" -- which slows the puck gradually. You shoot your puck by holding the mouse button down on it and then drag the mouse in the opposit direction of where you want to shoot (like pulling back your arrow on a bow). The further back you pull, the more force that's applied to the puck when you let go of the mouse button and, of course, the further the puck will travel. Other rules and conditions of the game would also have to be programmed into it. I'd also like to have various viewing modes in 3D perspective. Can anyone tell me what it might cost to have a programmer create this for me?
