Default Please Help (Untitled) My Website?

Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me with my website. http://adorablevacuumcleanercovers.20m.com/ I have submitted it on Web Pro World for review, but have noticed when submitting to Search Engines my title comes up untitled? This is my first attempt to create a website and am not quite sure how to correct the problem.
I've been reading about my default homepage should be in my main.html main directory and to change it to default homepage "index.html" Wonder if maybe you could explain to me how to do this. I'm totally confused. I am appearing on some search engines but Any help would be greatly appreicated. When I log out I get a 404 error code that my site doesn't exist.
Thankyou Margaret

Hi Margaret,

I did a quick search on Google for "adorable vacuum covers" and sure enough your site was #3 on Page 1! So I wouldn't get too downhearted! :o) I don't think you're currently listed on DMOZ (The Open Directory) maybe you should look into that?

Also, your homepage is called 'index.html' and seems to be referenced correctly throughout the site.. so I'm a bit baffled as to your concern... hopefully these comments will ease your worries! ;o)

Paul

If you're still having problems Margaret, please post again... that's one of the key benefits of this forum.. to try and solve our problems by learning from others.

Take care,

Paul

Paul ... Margaret PM'ed me in regards to this problem also. It seems we have solved most of the problem except that she is still having trouble renaming her index file. I have advised her to make a copy of her main page file & to try renaming it that way.

If you can think of another way to solve this, I'm sure she would love to know, because I am at a bit of a loss to know what her problem is.

Hi Wayne,

glad to have you on board! A PM or Private Message is just another means to communicate with another member. Some people may feel more comfortable to talk about problems on a one-to-one basis rather than in the "public glare" of the forums.

Hope that answers your question!

Paul
