Default safe downloads

Hi,
we like to provide some downloadable files for our customers.
But we do not want just link to the downloadable files.
Is there any script that makes downloads safe, and protects our hp, server, and bandwith?

PS: We do not need a download manager for this 10 or 15 files. Our goal is just to keep customers a bit longer at our hp.

Many thanks

Default I'm not quite sure what you mean.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking for here. You want to protect your homepage, your server, your bandwidth, and make the downloads safe? Are you allowing users to post files? If not, then a good robots.txt file and a link to a zip archive should be good enough in most cases.

Brian.
