Default Shipping Calculator Help

I have an XML/PHP script to calculate shipping rates from UPS directly. I was wondering if anyone had one for USPS. Hotscripts has one for 50 bucks with no reviews so I am reluctant to go for that.

Default Can't you just...

Can't you just use their XML interface? We have it implemented and are having no issues with it. Details are listed here.

I personally used Perl, but I can't believe that it'd be difficult with PHP (although I'm not very familiar with the language.)

Brian.

I am using their manual and you have to use a test request first. I'm not too good with the XML parsing thing. I was trying to figure it out using the code I used to read what I got back from UPS using echos and things like that. It seems that all I get back is an array with the values HEAD and TITLE.
