Default Need advice on a "file autoresponder"

Hello All.

In case you couldn't tell from the subject of this post, I don't know what to call the script I need.

I want to allow visitors to request one or more files to be sent to them via e-mail. But, I want them to fill in a contact form first.

Then, I'd like to have some type of a script that would send me an e-mail with the visitor's contact information, and send the visitor the files they requested (probably PDFs).

Does anyone know how I could do that myself, or if there are services I could use? If its more difficult than formmail, I'll probably need a service since I am HTML challenged.

If anyone even knows what to call this animal, I could at least do a search for it!

Thanks again for any advice.

Kathleen

Default I've done that...

I've done that by using a form mailer that I modified to attach a file.

Another option would be to collect the info and then give the user a download link in the "Thank you" message.

I haven't seen anything pre-built, though.

Brian.

Brian,

Thanks for the quick reply!

I've seen this type of a function on other websites, so I'm hoping someone can point me toward a vendor.

The odds of my modifying my formmail script is really low. But, thanks for the idea for the link on the thank you page. That, I know how to do.
