Grabbing existing value for scroll box

ASP/VBScript and Dreamweaver MX

I have set up a few pages, add, view and update and are linked to an access database.

On the add record page I have scroll boxes that you can select from. These write to the database.

When it comes to the Update page, how do you bring existing values from the database into the scroll boxes? This would then allow the user to see the existing value but are able to change it if they choose to do so?

I have been racking my brains but cannot get my head round this today. I bet its dead simple. Any pointers will be most appreciated.
