Default Live chat for my site

Hey friends ...

Wondering how can I put a live chat for my site !!! I've just put a forum yesterday at www.kigoobe.com/meetup/index.php or simply kigoobe.com/meetup and wanted to put a live chat there. Any idea - welcome.

Thanks - cheers.

Default Instant messaging options for your site....

Hey Kigoobe,

That's a wicked site you got over there. Will be dropping there often.

Since your discussion board is phpBB, you can use Prillian - the IM hack for phpBB.
If you want a full feature Java chat applet for your site, I'd recommend DigiChat.

Let me know if this helps,

cheers,
Shyam

Hello Shyam

You have really a nice site man ... I am just visiting your site and it is really nice with so many options for users ...

I am also visiting the chat url that u have given ... thanks for the link. They haven't given any demo of their chat software ... no way to visualize the after effects ...

Personally, the site I have liked with a chat machine is www.silchar.com ... the chat box is put in an iframe with the header, thus irrespective of in which page you are, you can always see a bit of who is chating at the top of the page ... the chat is not a complex one, very simple, but quite effective in terms of attracting attention.

Thanks again for the help.
Wishing you a nice time.
Regards
Sourav.

Default Adding left column to phpBB

Hello

I've installed that chat software as given by Shyam ... thanks for the tips ... only problem that I'm facing that it is always showing
Quote:
There are 0 user(s) on chat now
in the index page even when there are people inside the chat room.

Besides, I had another question, wondering if someone could help ... I want to put a left colum to the forum http://kigoobe.com/meetup for navigational reasons. Question is, is there any particular way to follow for that so that I can make an external file like header and footer and then include that to all the pages, or should I need to make it seperately in all the pages as we do for normal html designing.

Thanks for any help.
Regards
Sourav.
