Default Looking for advice Re xml

I am trying to do to much at once, learning to use XMLSpy, Morphon, and xml/xslt/xpath ...

plus

lot's of it uses script to do HTTPXML requests, retrieve data, display data. I don't know very much javascript at all either, and I try to learn as I go.

Needless to say, I seem to get overwhelmed and don't remember stuff very well.

Should I just spend a few months on javascript alone, or will it soon all fit together?

Anyone with experiences and advice? I would be thankful :O)

Hey crazy man!

You will get it just fine, it will just someday click for you where it all comes together.

I learned javascript long before I even heard of XML. lol. But, as sharp as you are, you can do both.

I got a lot of good javascript resources from www.irt.org and The Javascript Source

and, I thought the W3Schools XML tutorial on XML/XSL was excellent.

Default XPATH Primer

Here is a link to an XPATH Primer an excellent non-technical writer put together at a company I used to work for that went out of business:

http://owenwalcher.com/xml/xpathPrimer.pdf

It does a great job explianing XML in general, and the how to write queries in XPATH. Enjoy.
