Default I am looking for the best multi-file upload script...

I want to build a site much like PutFile.com. I would like for everybody to a member to access this and the memberships are going to be free.

All feedback is appreciated.

Thank you!

It's not an upload script per se, but ASPUpload is an ASP-based uploading component that comes in very handy for me.

Basically, you call the component from within your code and manipulate stuff from there once it's uploaded (moving the files to different folders, that sort of thing.)

I've never seen any pure upload scripts that are customizable.

Thank you I don't think that is what I am looking for. I have a multi-file upload script but I want to doube check to see if any others exist. I want to make sure I am using the best one available. I want people to be able to upload all of their files on to the site including photos, video, music and anything other files they may have.

Keep the feedback coming. I appreciate it.

Thanks again!

There is one floating around written in php that is configurable for the type of file allowed, size of file, etc..

it can easily be modified for more functionality..

Is that something you are looking for?

Yes, it doesn't have to be java. I have looked at close to 10 different scripts. Almost ten java and ten php. I am having difficultly deciding on which one to choose. Some of them are very expensive and that is no problem at all and then some are free. I haven't had a tremendous amount of time to go through over all of the details of each one yet. I just want to make sure I use the best one available or the best one available for the price it's being offered at.

Anybody that has any experience with these scripts if you want to add something I'd appreciate it.

Thank you!

Don't forget to apply some security considerations as well. I am sure this will weed out at least 50% ...
