Default ActiveX PopUp bar in IE - Coding Your Pages Not to Show It

Hi

I'm working on an array of pages with no servlets or any active content on it, but I still intermittently get the yellow bar popping up. I do have a javascript function for showing and hiding content for simplification of usability. I think that's the problem, but can't understand why basic javascripting would trigger the pop-up?

Any advice with regards to how to ensure that it doesn't show up? Since it's quite irritating and will be so much more for our clients...

Thanx
MtraX

I'm assuming this is XP with SP2, are you accessing the page from a web server or locally?

Local pages can cause the warnings, sorry I can't remember why etc.

Hi

That's quite interesting - yes, I'm accessing it on my local machine. Will try and do a test on the server and report back ;-)
