Default Open source 'free ads' software

Hi all,

I am currently looking for either an open source or good quality but not too expensive database software to set-up a paid inclusion type 'Advert' website.

The type of functions that will be required in the site is for customers to register their details to post adverts for items they wish to sell or exchange. Similar to Ebay but no bidding involved, just the ability to exchange contact details to agree a private sale or exchange.

I can't disclose to much information at this stage as my client has asked me to be careful what I say. My client is willing to pay for a license if there is any good quality software available.

Any suggestions please...

There is one PHP Based called PHPAdsNew...

I had installed it on my server.. found it pretty good..and it is free too..

but this will be for displaying ads on your site..
but to accept registrations, I think you will have to code one script...which enter details in to your database and then to run the ads you can use that software...

it will also (PHPAdsNew) will show you and your clients the stats (clicks, views etc..)

Regards
Deep

Thanks Deep13,

This sounds very similar to what I am looking for but I do require a registration process which requires new customers to pay a fee for inclusion and as my php coding skills are still quite limited, this might cause a problem.

If there are any experianced coders out there that might be able to take on this kind of job, please let me know.
