Default PHP novice looking for simple PHP

Looking for 3 simple scripts (or small command sections). I can figure out how to tweak, but need to set up asap.

Database is set up in MySql. 2 tables, but very similar to each other. Both will work the same way.

I'm looking for a basic script I can modify so a user can fill out a form and it will keep the data in a DB table as a new row.

Then a script to view them by catagory (catagories are a column in the table as an Enum), or by id#.

Then a script to search the table by description (a varchar column).

I can write the html for the forms, I'm still new to PHP though. Thanks, anyone.

Hi,
I doubt that you will find the exact script anywhere, you might need to take help of some tutorials available on the net and try to do it..

you can check some tutorials here

btw is it going to be for a news system or something?

Regards
Deep

Thanks Deep. Though I didn't specify, I was looking for something that is possibly on that page you mentioned. The script I'm writing based on another resource doesn't seem to be working right. Perhaps it's an issue connecting to the db.
