Default Need a tool to do searches

I need a tool which will allow me to quickly find any instance of specific words on a clients website.

They are in the process of dropping a sponsorship and need to make sure that all instances of the sponsor have been removed from their site.

The site has about 1500 pages or so...
It was created in Dreamweaver ---

any suggestions ?
Also - If there is a tool that will allow this information to be placed into a report format that would help us create the checklist to go to our client with and discuss.

thanks

In DreamWeaver, there is the 'Find next' function. You can call it using the edit dropdown menu, or pressing 'Crtl + F3'. Type in the word and choose 'Entire local Site'. It will list all the instances in the 'Rsults' box and I think it can save a report.
You can just 'Find and replace'while you are at it.

I like to use HTMLkit with the 'Batch Find and Replace' plug in. I find it is faster for a whole site, and my Dreamweaver sometimes throws errors when doing a whole site, however that is just mine, I haven't heard of this being a problem.

Other than that, you will have to index the site completely, I would think. These are just what I know of, there may be others!

If it is a *nix type operating system..
use grep..

%> grep -i "phrase" ./* >filelist.txt

I am sure there are Windows versions of grep as well.
