Default Does Anyone Know If PHP Can Index?

I would like to know if PHP takes longer to index. I think I read it somewhere but I forget where.

My problem is I have some static pages that I've been trying to get indexed. The site had a meta-refresh which we susptected was causing some problems. We got rid of them with a 301-redirect. We streamlined the coding but still have not seen any effect.

We're now concerned that PHP files might take longer to index becase the static pages were all in PHP.

Please, can anyone tell me or offer some explanation?

No, .php files (e.g., www.domain.com/example.php) take just as long to index as any other type of page. I even have .php pages that rank extremely well in the SERPs.

There can be an issue, however, with URLs that have lots of parameters in them, though. Without being more specific and not knowing the specific URLs you're talking about, I am unable to give you any more information.

Default PHP pages getting indexed

A www.webproworld.com]site query[/url] on Google for WebProworld produced 27,900 results.
So on that evidence, you could say that PHP pages get indexed pretty well! :o)

Even dynamic URLs such as ...viewtopic.php?t=#### have been indexed (although without proper descriptions in this instance). SE friendly URLs tend to have a fuller description/page extract to accompany the link itself, but this needn't be the case! it all depends on how you've set up your site.
