Default DHTML and IE for Mac question

Recently I deployed a site for a client that uses a dhtml and java script drop down menu for navigation. The client loves it but. The problem is the graphics artist they used, uses a Mac and IE for Mac, and claims she has trouble using the drop down menu on the site. Has any one come across an issue like this? Any suggestions?

Yes, there are some problems with IE and Mac
It helps if you post the code or a link or something.

Stevolane,

It's a long time since you posted this question... Hope you will read that answer anyway.

The Mac uses a version of IE called "5.xx", but based on an IE4 core. If you want to know what a page or submenu looks like on a Mac, just look at it with IE4 on a PC... It's very similar.

I had a lot of troubles in the past, the only solution I found was to buy a Mac, and modify the code from it until it works.

Menus are not the only problem. Depending on the way the Mac is tuned, you can also have many issues about font sizes, 8 bits characters (here in France we use a lot of them), tables background, colors and images, and som much more... The Mac is not really suitable for web browsing on sophisticated websites !

Mozilla Firebird seems to be better than IE, by now. Anyway, the only solution if your client is important to you : buy a Mac, and debug !

Jean-Pierre
