how to load page faster just like yahoo

Greetings to All,

How can we load page fast just like Yahoo!.

They have plenty of links on thier homepage but thier page loads so much fast.

I know they have billions+ of users, Is this only a reason or any thing else. Please answer this question with reference to PHP.

Links are text based anchors on yahoo. Of course they load fast as theyre just page code. Notice very few images on yahoo. Theres a starting point.
