Is there a link counting script someone has?

I'm looking for a script, maybe javascript, that can count up from 0 the total Links on a webpage.
I wish to post the total links on a webpage, but
not to count them manually, but rather the script to
count them automatically. An example link is below.

Example:<td align="center"><a href="http://www.linkmarket.net/link_directory/" title="#1 Free Link Exchange Directory On The Web - Link Market" target="_blank">
</a></td>

If you are not using a database then erhaps you should. Just count the relevant rows. Why not take some time out and learn JavaScript.

If you Google for "Link Bookmarklets" (without the quotes) you should find plenty of examples of JavaScript doing exactly what you're describing. However, I would go along with php~pro's comments, you should really take some time out to learn JavaScript, it will pay dividends.
