Morning guys!
I'm studying ASP, in the book I'm using I have to use PWS to test my server scripts.

The problem is:
I can't seem to get the thing to work properly.
The books says that to test the script in IE I have to type this: http://localhost/data_files_chap1/Register.htm
now when I do it, IE says that it can't find the host.

Am I doing something wrong¿

hannesthegreat,
check you have got pws running and that scripts are allowed.
also make sure a local firewall such as zone alarm is not blocking it....

It was indeed the firewall, I actually feel quite silly but, at least now I know

i often find it is the simplist of things that stump me and after manys hours of head scratching it becomes clear that is why forums like this are so useful
