image management/ scan site for images

Hello!

Does anyone know of any software that can be used to:
scan a site to compile a list of images within the sites pages?

--What I need to do is clean up our images directory.
--It can't be a software that is looking for duplicate file name, that won't help in this case.
--Need to see what images are being used, in order to delete the many images that are wasting server space.
--Free software preferred

Any recommendations are appreciated!

use a open source site download tool.
download your own site per web to an extra directory structure.
HERE you should see, which images are referenced ! you will NOT find any non referenced data in the download.
