Default Can this really work?

I have tried something for php.
I have made two files (header.inc and footer.inc) and then include them into my file and save as .php

This then places the required code into my files! Can that really work for my site?

I use php includes all the time, and they work great. What's the code that you're using to include those header and footer files?

I got the idea when I found out how to use my guestbook; which works on the same aspect.

In the header include it contains the normal HTML code with head tags, etc and then the footer code will have the rest of the HTML code such as closing body, etc

Is one limited to how many includes I can place in a page? Say if I want to insert my menu and then the links at the bottom of the page?
