Default easy Upload Script

i want people to be able to upload pictures to my site so i can view them and decide if i want to use them. it dont matter the size or format i just want it to upload the pictures to a directory and maybe send me an email to tell me someone uploaded a picture

this will be part of a form im making for people to add information to a mySQL database for me to review and decide if i want to use it.
so i will need to post the data they typed in to the database and upload the files to a directory

anyone got an easy script for this?

Sounds like this script has to be pretty sophisticated.. packed with functions, and yet easy to use? hmmm... maybe you should start off with some basic file upload forms, then work your way up?

Here's a post from September last year that has a few useful links to PHP file upload scripts.

Hope that helps,

I have just the thing in my big bag of scripts. I had a similar problem last year with a customer request so I sat and wrote a script that is easily configurable. All you need is a form with four basic fields and any further fields are automatically submitted. It wil handle file upload to specified directory. Mime type and file size max limits can be specified. The form also grabs user details ie. I.P, browser, O/S. It will also write a copy to CSV or mysql and it has an auto responder. I could let you have a copy for a nominal fee. All you have to do is change some 1's and 0's, enter admin e-mail addy, alter auto response if enabled, and enter filesizes/types.
