Default Basic Cron Job Question

I want to create a cron job to delete all the files in a particular directory. Could someone let me know if the following is correct? File names are not consistent, so I need to delete any and all files found. My understanding, unless I've missed something is that this would run every Sunday at 11:59 PM, and delete all the files in the given directory:

#Cron job to delete contents of directory
59 23 * * 7 rm /path/to/directory/*

Thanks in advance.

Kathryn
