Default Ever changing banner ads

I have a client ( www.1stopentertainments.co.uk ) who wishes to change the banner ad that appears in their website (top left) every month.

Due to the way in which this site was developed, this would mean changing the link code for the banner on about 240 pages (not funny).

I can sus out how to change the graphic - just upload the new banner in the same name as the old. What I need to know, is there a way of retrieving the link address from an external hosted file? e.g. if the herf code calls the domain for the link from a txt file from the same domain (does that make sense?)...

I know this would involve changing every page to read this txt file, but once it was done - then I could just update the txt file for the link address to change on every page....

Suggestions please......

Unfortunatelt the site isn't written in php, otherwise you caould easily use an include statement in all of the files to call an external page that would consist on only the banner. An other method would be using a server side include.

Replace the banner code with a link to an external javascript containing the document.write method.

Thanks all, the Javascript method came to me last night while pondering this problem. I already use such a method for the main navigation, so shouldn't be to hard to code.
